This Privacy Policy describes how this application handles data. Under the Data Protection Act (DPA) of Jamaica, Bussgas acts as a Data Controller in a limited capacity, although this application does not collect personal data that identifies you directly.

2. Data Processed

While Personally Identifying Information is not collected, the application requires access to specific hardware functions to perform its core utility:

A. Location Data (GPS)

  • Usage: The App accesses your device's GPS coordinates upon user consent to provide location-based services essential to the its function.
  • Storage: This data stricly is used to geolocate public places. Your location history is not collected or processed.

B. Camera Access

  • Usage: This application requires access to the camera to carry out some of its functions upon user consent.
  • Storage: Images captured by the camera are stripped of any identifying EXIF data before being uploaded to the applications servers.

3. Non-Collection of Personal Data

This App does not:

  • Require account registration or login credentials.
  • Collect your IP address in a way that links it to your identity.
  • Access your contacts, calendar.
  • Use cookies or tracking pixels to profile your behavior.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

In alignment with the DPA, hardware data is processed signals based on:

  • Contractual Necessity: To provide the functionality you requested.
  • Consent: Your mobile operating system will prompt you for permission. By granting access, you consent to this processing.

5. Your Rights under the DPA

The DPA grants Jamaican citizens rights regarding their data. Since personal data is not stored, there are no records to provide or delete. However, you maintain control via:

  • Permission Management: Revoke Camera/Location access at any time through device settings.
  • App Deletion: Removing the App clears all local configuration data.
